An exploration of volume and restraint, this shirt dress from Yohji Yamamoto reinterprets the classic shirting format through the designer's distinctly deconstructed sensibility. Cut from a fine gingham-check woven fabric, its asymmetric draping at the bodice creates a sculptural, almost sculptural layering effect that falls into a sweeping, uneven hem — simultaneously precise and effortlessly undone. Tied at the waist with a self-fabric knot, the silhouette shifts between coat-like structure and soft, billowing ease depending on how it is worn.
