Our Point of View

A study in deliberate disorder, this Comme des Garçons top transforms fine pleated satin into an architectural statement. Vertical pleats are gathered, bunched, and released across the body in an intentionally deconstructed arrangement, creating a sculptural volume that shifts with the wearer. The asymmetric hem — where cascading pleats pool dramatically to one side — is the signature gesture of Rei Kawakubo's enduring challenge to conventional form.
