Maison Margiela reexamines the anatomy of the classic jean, isolating the waistband as a deliberate design statement. Cut from a faded light-wash denim, the straight leg silhouette is anchored by a boldly contrasting darker indigo waistband panel — a hallmark of the house's signature practice of exposing and recontextualising garment construction. The result is a piece that wears like a wardrobe essential but reads as something altogether more considered.
